Accessible bathrooms

Accessible bathrooms and walk-in showers in Cheshire

Safer, easier bathrooms for older people, people with disabilities and the families who look after them — designed to look like a modern bathroom, not a hospital.

Prefer not to phone? You can enquire in writing and ask us to text you back.

Bathroom with a fitted bath, a close-coupled toilet, a vanity with a worktop basin and a chrome ladder towel rail, on wood-effect flooring

What we can include

A bathroom with a bath, overhead shower and grab rails

Photos from a completed job: grab rails on the wall beside the bath, one higher and one lower, for support when getting in and out, with an overhead shower and a hand-held wand over the bath. Wood-effect flooring, a vanity with a worktop basin and a ladder towel rail.

Help with the cost

Some people can get a Disabled Facilities Grant from their local council towards adaptations like a level-access shower. We can explain how it works. Eligibility is decided by your council — we can't guarantee a grant.

Questions

Can you replace my bath with a walk-in shower?

This is something we can look at during a free design visit. We'll measure up and show you what would fit in your bathroom.

Can I get help paying for an accessible bathroom?

Some people can get a Disabled Facilities Grant from their local council. Eligibility is decided by the council, not by us. See our plain-English guide to how it works.

Can I enquire on behalf of my mum or dad?

Yes. Many enquiries come from sons, daughters and carers. Just tick “I'm enquiring for someone else” on the enquiry form.

I'm hard of hearing — do I have to phone?

No. You can enquire in writing and choose “Text me back”, so you never need to take a phone call.

Will it look clinical?

It doesn't have to. Rails, seats and level floors can be designed to look like a modern bathroom.

Ready to talk about your room?
